MHSA Innovation Project

I.E. PsychPartners: Public-Private Collaboration to Transform Emergency Psychiatric Services

On January 30, 2009, the State Department of Mental Health released the Guidelines for the final MHSA Component – Innovation. The innovation Guidelines allow counties to apply for funds on a project-by-project basis without submitting a plan for the entire planning estimate. Following an extensive planning process Riverside County is submitting a proposal to fund the I.E PsychPartners: Public-Private Collaboration to Transform Emergency Psychiatric Services Project through the MHSA Innovation Component.

The Department is requesting a total of $18.7 million over five years for the I.E PsychPartners: Public-Private Collaboration to Transform Emergency Psychiatric Services Innovation Project, which includes funding for Project Implementation, County Administration, and Operating Reserve.
